What are some legal ramifications for cloud-hosted data?

Things that quickly come to mind for me: determining which copy of a file is the legal "original," and figuring out jurisdiction from state to state and country to country based on where the server and corporate office lie... Think that was discussed a bit in this thread.

Additional thoughts?

There are only a few potential legal ramifications that I can think of for cloud-hosted data that don't already apply to hosted data in general.

1 - Ensuring that data does not leave or enter certain jurisdictions.

2 - Ensuring that all editions/copies of ones data are destroyed upon termination of a business relationship

3 - Managing copies for forensics and e-Discovery purposes

Most other issues will be the same for other hosting arrangements.

Depends on the data itself, the home country of the company in question, and the country the data center is located in relatively.
