Better integration with other social networks and tools - it is extremely difficult to cross-post between Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks right now, plus the network doesn't support commonly-used tools such as Tweetdeck & Seesmic.
A robust API to facilitate the things that Chris mentioned, so that they could continue to get the people like Joe mentioned. :)
If LI, FB and Twitter didn't have all the integration that they currently have, they've be encountering a lot more stagnation, as people wouldn't be as inclined to manage each of them individually...

You know, I'm not sure WHAT Google+ could do. At some point, a person's capacity to spend time lounging on social networks get over-extended. The thought that I'm supposed to check yet another network every day has me exhausted!
