QR Codes are scanned from a smartphone, so think where your prospects are when they are mobile and place them in that environment. Remember that the QR Code is the easy part, ensuring that the viewer ends on on a mobile-optimized site with a specific call to action is the key to success.

So, some ideas on where prospects hang out:
1) Trade shows
2) Industry events
3) Seminars
4) Vendor Announcement Events
5) Networking Events

Place the QR Codes anywhere they will be seen by your mobile audience.

Instead of taking the viewer to your website (unless it is mobile-optimized), take them to an invitation for your next seminar, or to your LinkedIn Profile, or even to a signup form for your newsletter.

Some industries like Real Estate can benefit by adding a QR Code to the property sign. Adding a QR code to your delivery or service van is also yielding results for some sales reps.

Print, or put stickers on the on the back of their business cards with links to their Focus Network Profile :-), and other social networking links.

They can make sure that their prospects actually know what a QR code is and what they need on their smartphone to scan it. Seems elementary, but it's not. =]
