Top priorities for CRM Managers:

Given CRM has been implemented and is in a sustainment period, I believe the following the top priorities:

1- Data Quality. If I had a dime for every dirty record, I'd be an extremely wealthy person! Dirty data should be every CRM Managers pet peeve.

2- Continuous roadmap review and future project planning based on business priorities. Always be looking at ways to improve data and processes! The tools are constantly changing, and likely internal business processes are, so keeping on top of changes and new technologies is critical. Have monthly check-ins with the functional area to review process changes as well as roadmap priorities.

3- Ongoing Training- regardless if there is a trainer in the organization, adoption success- not just logins, but how well the system is being properly used- is tied directly to ongoing training. Have a training strategy and know when trainings are happening in the case ownership is in another department.

Melissa has hit the big ones dead on.

I think one important way to ensure data quality is strong and user adoption of the online CRM solution is strong is to tightly tailor the CRM to the unique business processes of a given business.
