Securing access to sensitive information
Enabling business transformation through mobile apps (and I don't mean that stuff in the iTunes Store)
Making users happy within the boundaries set out in our mobility policy- that's #3!
1. Upgrade Internal Firewall to the same level as External Firewall. Register all mobile devices (MAC ?) and allow only "registered devices".
2. Greater and more active Endpoint-Security rules to monitor content that comes out of or goes into the BYOD
3. Application Security
The top 3 things the businesses need to be able to effectively support end-user selected devices is:
#1 - Sufficiently trained staff to deal with the interoperability issues that are sure to ensure
#2 - Adequate and appropriate policies for employee storage and maintenance of data, and of data ownership. The policies must be well communicated.
#3 - Suitable technology to help manage and enforce the guidelines provided via #2
And, #4, a successful pilot test using a small, but diverse group of users to ensure that the first 3 points have been well fleshed out.

1. MDM system that fits the needs of the enterprise (number of users vs cost vs internal infrastructure setup vs ongoing administration costs).
2. Suitable & flexible device management policies to cover everyone from executive management to LOB sales. One size does NOT fit all in the enterprise.
3. Legal council disclaimer expressing rights the company has and individuals' responsibility.
