The simple answer is "it depends." What department are you starting in? What are the areas where you need more information to make better decisions? There are all kinds of starting points and all kinds of answers. Hi Shannon,
We're currently in the final phase of implementing BI in our company, we develop and produce electronics.
We started with the implementation of SAP data in our data warehouse, the key metrics here are turnover, sales order portfolio, HR figures, stock development.
Next phase is implementing our production tracking-tracing data into the data warehouse. Here our key metric are quality (FPY, DPMO) and productivity.
Our goal is to create reports per role in our organization, from these reports employees should be able to see their most important steering indicators, and take immediate action on this information.
