I know some of these will differ with each browser (I am on Chrome on a Mac) but here are a few of my favorites.

Keyword Searches - In Chrome you can add search engines and connect them to a keyword or letter and then search from the address bar. Example: I have youtube set up as keyword "y" so when I want to find a video on youtube i go to my address bar, type y lolcats, and the results page on youtube shows up. I search a ton of different sites and have these set up for almost every letter in the alphabet. Here are the directions on how to set them up http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=95653

Next Tab / Previous Tab - Command + Option + Left or Right Arrow

Reopen the last tab you closed - Command + Shift +T

For the keywords in Firefox, just right click into any search bar on your favorite websites. Select "Add Keywords for this Search"

I have them set up for Yelp, YouTube, Dictionary.com, IMDB and of course Focus.com

These are simple but very effective:

1. Command (or CTRL) + L takes you into the address bar
2. Command (or CTRL) + K takes you into the Google search bar (firefox)

So if I want to go to do a search I will quickly hit Command + T (new tab) and then Command + K and start typing my search. This takes less time than going to your mouse and moving it up to the search bar.

Some basic ones that I use on a Chrome/Mac...

1. Command - R refreshes the page
2. Command - T opens a new tab
3. Command - P prints the page
4. Shift - Control - Command - 4 captures a selection to the clipboard (this is probably my favorite shortcut for providing product feedback)
5. Command - Left Arrow navigates to previous page
6. Command - Right Arrow navigates to next page

My favorite is the Command (or CTRL) + enter when typing in the address bar. This will add "www." and ".com" to whatever you've typed.

So if you want to go to www.focus.com all you have to type is "focus" and then press Command + enter.

This will save 8 keystrokes everytime!

It's not a keyboard shortcut, but I have always found Firefox's Fast Dial to be a great tool for quickly opening a new tab and finding a favorite link. It lets you customize and group your links together and with a couple quick clicks of the mouse I have no trouble getting to any of the places I tend to go most often.

I just accidentally came across a new one. Command (CTRL) + Z in your address bar will go through your recent browsing history. Keep pressing it and you keep going back.

Shortcuts are great!

I spend most of my life in Chrome. In addition to those that have been mentioned already:

Command + W - close current tab
Command + Shift + W - close all tabs and window

Command + D - bookmark this tab
Command + Shift + D - bookmark all tabs into a folder

The bit.ly plug-in is awesome for quick on-page posts to twitter
The Remove cookies from this page plug-in is great for testing your site

Session Buddy plug-in is amazing for saving your current tab configuration to open later

Last Pass plug-in is the right choice for consolidating all your passwords in one place.

Xmarks lets me sync my bookmarks across Chrome and Firefox, for those times when I do need Firefox.

I use a lot of SaaS-based products so I'm constantly using F5 to refresh my page.

And speaking of refresh, hold down the Shift button and refresh your browser and your cache which will speed your browsing.

I love that you can highlight any string of text in any page, right click and "Search Google for....(highlighted text)" without having to cut and paste to the search bar. The new search results will display in a separate tab. This works in all browsers.

This is a good one: CTRL + ENTER will send the email message you are composing. Use this instead of reaching for your mouse and clicking on send.
