What is the best choice for a "kid" and his job during these hard times?
I am a 20 year old who has 1 year of college under my belt, and have been working for a private company in the Forex industry. The position I am currently in is a Dealer on our Dealing Desk. The dilemna I have is whether or not to take time off of work for a couple years to finish up my education and earn a degree in Finance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to do both? That would be the best bet, but ultimately, I would strongly advise against taking time off work. Is it possible that the company will work with you to continue your education with flexible work arrangements, etc.? I can understand the idea of going to school while working can be daunting at best, but it may be easier to do now versus later in life.
There are several questions you have to ask yourself. You would have to answer honestly in regards to money (would you be taking out student loans? How high will the balance be? How will you cover expenses while in school?), future (Do you want to stay in this line of work? Do you see a future with your current employer?), and goals (Where do you want to be in five years? ten years?). Assuming you wish to stay in this line of work, you may be in a prime situation to further your career at a young age. I personally value experience more than schooling, but do not intend to downplay the importance of a degree.
Also, don't forget that you may be able to enroll in an extended program so you aren't as overwhelmed if you decided to go back to school while working.
Best of luck!
