Put a button with an RSS-icon somewear near the content. Since it's usually advanced users who is looking for the rss-feed I dont think it needs to be particular dominant.
Give them a reason to subscribe. Whether it's knowing that you'll always receive your posts right when they're published, special content you provide only to subscribers, etc. Convenience is a nice benefit, but if you're truly focused on subscriber counts, give them a reason.
