The best place to check out different quotes from credit card processors is TransFS.com (http://www.transfs.com)--the comparison shopping site for credit card processors.
It works like Expedia...just enter in your information and you get instant quotes from top-tier credit card processors. Users save an average of 40% on processing costs.
The best part is that the quotes you get are apples-to-apples which makes comparing really easy. Paypal is also an option on the site so you can see how their pricing compares to a traditional merchant account.
For an all-around great solution I recommend http://paysimple.com/.
Their rates are better than most other processing companies and they offer a lot of different features.
You can also give them a call at 800-466-0992 and ask for a demonstration. When we called they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We were also able to talk them down about $5 on the monthly rate by saying that our current merchant account was only $29.95 per month.
I work with the industry's leading merchant services providers- a one stop solution for all of your processing needs at highly competitive rates. Are you looking for flexible processing solutions, innovative products and tools, an effective payment gateway company and chargeback management solution; or maybe information on what you need to know as a merchant to be compliant and avoid hefty fines from the Card Associations? If this sounds like something you would like to know more about, please contact me directly.
Thank you,
Sherry
You might want to take at look at PayPal's offering also...
I like Paypal as an easy way to get started, but their rates are high and it will bite into profits as volume expands. Authorize.net is one we've used that you may want to check out if you anticipate a large volume of orders.
