The term usually refers to changing your domain name DNS settings to the another destination or can you server. Sometimes , the young mayor have multiple sources of domain names which and the young may be want all the of them are too land on one of destination.

Usually 'pointing your domain' involves telling your registrar (a company like GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc.) where your website is hosted. As Shashi mentions above, this involves changing your DNS settings.
There are other applications here, too. Let's say you're involved in affiliate marketing where a website offers you a commission to refer people to their site. The company usually gives you a link that looks something like this: "http://www.Widget.com/329487?25". You could go to a registrar and register a domain name like MyWidgets.com and have that domain point to your affiliate link. It's called domain forwarding. Now rather than giving out that long domain address, you can tell people to go to MyWidgets.com instead.
