What email software do you use at your company?

What email software do you use at your company to manage your inboxes, set calendars, etc. We've been using LotusNotes for what seems like forever, and are ready to move onto a new system. Obviously Microsoft Outlook is a strong contender, but I'd still like to evaluate other options. What other email software can support a small business (20 people)?

Chelsea,
If you have been using Lotus Notes for a long time I will make an assumption that you take advantage of its collaboration features. With that in mind, Outlook with Exchange is definitely a strong contender for a replacement system. If you are considering hosted email alternatives it would be very cost effective for you to go with a Hosted Exchange provider or possibly Google Apps or possibly even hosted Lotus Notes. Another thing to consider is how easily your users can transition to Outlook or Google.

Depends on what your application is. We use outlook for our day to day business communciations, but for our marketing efforts we use Genius.

You might want to look at hosted applications. If you use Outlook you still need your ISP mailboxes. Outlook is only mail client and you need Exchange Server for hosting your own mail.

Our mail is similar to Outlook that comes with Calendar, Task and other productivity tools that you might not find it in Outlook such as blog tools. Please check out http://www.borneosoft.com

Free Edition comes with 2 users account with 100MB each. It's fully functional and it is not time limited.

Before Outlook I used www.eudora.com/ Which I really liked. I only moved to Outlook cause it came with a program.

If you were going to use Outlook, I'd also look at purchasing Prophet add-on. OR one of the other add-ons for your larger group.

Sanjay Singh - He's in Fuiji and I've been gettting his ezine for years and years. He has nice add ons that would make Outlook work for your 20 person group. www.Addins4Outlook.com

Hi, I think Outlook is quite good, but the Exchange Server is a very demanding solution, and in many if not all cases requires a dedicated engineer for maintenance.
So, you may consider WinPST Share Outlook, which enables you to share your outlook data with your colleagues between multiple computers.
