What free project management tools do you use?
I'm an independent consultant and am interested in trying out some new project management tools. What online project management tools do you use? I use Google Docs and Google Wave for a lot of things, but I'd like something that is a bit more professional. Suggestions?

A more professional look and feel in terms of user interface, plus the features of full integrated tracking software for project management –that was my requirement when I started choosing the project management tool that best fit our company. I got no less than Worketc (www.worketc.com). It’s big on project collaboration --dynamic and versatile it allows you to set deadlines, create project templates, timesheets and share progress with customers. One platform with full-blown tracking features, that’s what I call efficiency. You may also want to read comparison of other tools here www.worketc.com/compare.
I use Mavenlink (http://www.mavenlink.com/), which is not free, but you can use some aspects of it for free. It really helps with project collaboration and dealing with multiple clients. Plus, if you contact them, they will hook you up with a PayPal code to lessen their rates, which is nice.
