Crowdsourcing is starting to grow throughout the world and is becoming a more common practice. I am curious to hear what you have come across as some of the more creative uses of crowdsourcing? What were some bad uses of it that you've seen?

We went through a transition from a traditional advertising agency to a digital marketing firm and we used crowd sourcing to find a new name. This "Help Us Name Us" campaign was promoted solely online through social media encouraging participants to send in their suggestions. We had participants from every U.S. State, 52 countries and six continents in just two weeks! Our team narrowed the entries to our favorites, then pushed it out again for users to vote on their favorite. We awarded an Amazon Kindle2 to the winner and another to a randomly selected voter. Our name is now Pyxl http://ThinkPyxl.com
