What human resources policies must I have by law in California?

I'm worried my HR staff isn't up-to-date on the most recent HR laws in California. Have there been any major developments in the past 5 years that should be included in my HR policies?

There have been developments in every state in the past 5 years...ESPECIALLY the People's Republic of California. It's like a different country down there...try SHRM's state resources website (http://www.shrm.org/LegalIssues/StateandLocalResources/StateandLocalStatutesa...)

John,
I have included "Which laws apply to you in the state of CA" and the 2010 Employment Law update for CA. If you have any other questions please contact us at 916-370-7849 or visit our websit at www.hrallencs.com. Hope this helps.
