Party selling is a business model in which sales occur in a party atmosphere rotating through customer's homes. The hosting customer receives a commission on the sales that occur in his or her home.

Common examples are jewelry/accessories, tupperware, sex toys, etc. You typically begin by leveraging your personal network. I was never in favor for this style of selling. While I never participated in it, I always had the notion that you would receive "pity-purchases" or basically have people buy products simply because of current relationships.
