STC Space Time Coding is a method that is used to improve the reliability of data that is transmitted within a wireless communications system with the use of multiple transmit antennas. STCS use the transmission of multiple, redundant copies of a specific data stream to the receiver, with the hope that some of the copies will survive the physical path between the transmission and reception process in a condition that will allow for reliable decoding.
