What is the Proper Relationship for the CIO, CEO, and CFO?

Technology and IT management are changing quickly. I've given this a lot of thought and written quite a bit about the future of the CIO role over the next 10+ years.

What are your thoughts on the correct C-level relationship with CIO, CEO, and CFO in the coming years?

Technology and IT only brings a more advanced and flexible communication means
as well as a speedy and more accurate information basket for decision making...

Yet whatever level, relationships should be guided by 2 things: Respect and Goals.
Once you have the proper respect, cooperation and coordination flows better;
and without losing sight of the "bacon", plans and actions are more fruitful.

Jesse, I think that is great, generalized, leadership advice but what about the specific roles and interactions between the key "C" level players?

I have offered an opinion based on my thoughts and what I see shaping up in the IT arena, how leadership roles and changing rapidly for CIOs. What I am curious about are inputs on how the CIO / CEO / CFO dynamics are affected by the current technology and business trends.

Anyone have any insight?
