What is 'Web Analytics 2.0?'

How are they different from analytics that are currently in use?

Mark,

The best (even free) Web analytics package is Google Analytics. Track visitors (new/returning), entry & exit pages, by OS, location, pages viewed, etc -- the whole package.

Current analytics = Google analytics - great for measuring the overall performance of your website.

Web analytics 2.0 = Tools like Marketo, Eloqua, Prospectvision - these analytics tools look at the individual visitors and their behaviour.

It is important to recognise that both tools have there place and neither one replaces the other. But combined they provide sales and marketing the intelligence required to action the data and drive revenue for the business.

I hope that helps.

Best,
