What is your most successful strategy to avoid getting stressed when tensions rise?
Best Answer
Get some air. From some breathing and standing to a change of environment.
After a quick time out which also offers you some deeper thought,
you could then adjust your plans and get the ball rolling better.

What works best for me when i am about to enter a stressful situation is a breathing technique that i learned on a yoga retreat. Goes like this: (all through your nose)
-Breathe in for four counts
-Hold in for 4 counts
-Breathe out for 4 counts
-Hold for 4 counts
And repeat this about 5 or 6 times. Sounds strange but it seriously lowers your heart rate and puts you in a state of bliss!
Emotional intelligent is one of the best technique to reduce your stress. The component of emotional intelligent components are.

Whenever possible, it is best to anticipate stressful situations and plan for them. For instance, if you know you are going into a meeting where the stress level will be high, make sure you are technically and emotionally ready to participate fully and keep your cool.
When you get those unpleasant surprises and have no time to prepare, don't react immediately but rather allow yourself a little time to analyze and evaluate the situation.
Increasing your Emotional Intelligence through training, coaching and self-study will provide you with many of the skills of emotional self-management including stress management.
