What is Microsoft Dynamics CRM all about?

Does anyone have any experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM? I see advertising for it and have downloaded whitepapers but I have yet to find anyone who has used it?

We use Salesforce.com. As a marketer, I don't have much say but I do feel like we should look at other solutions. I didn't know Microsoft had a CRM.

We use it in-house and have other clients who use it also. Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a very versatile system allowing for a high degree of customization to fit your business and it integrates with other Microsoft products including Outlook, Dynamics GP, Sharepoint, Exchange and more. So if your company already runs some of the Microsoft Platform it will allow easier integration of all of your systems.

Here is a brochure that talks about some of the integration options: http://ceoteams.com/media/documents/MicrosoftDynamicsCRM_BetterTogetherGuide0...

It also has a large amount of third party add-ons which allow you to do things like integrate it with your website. Here is one example: http://web2crm.crminnovation.com/?cc=ceoteams

It is available as an on-premise solution and also online, but the online solution is limited in the amount of integration you can with do it.

I've been implementing and using Dynamics CRM since 2003.
Built on 3 main tenants/principles

Works the way you do - Office Interface
Works the way your business does - Fully configurable and powerful Business workflow built in.
Works the way technology should - Built on .NET SQL and standard technologies

It's in use by 1,000s of organisations and it broke the 1m user count in July 2009 so you shouldn't have much trouble finding referenceability.

Drop me a line if you want more detail and pointing to any further resources.
