Bottom line, is it reliable and is it free or do I need to pay for a solution?

Wikipedia puts it best: The term "cloud" is used as a metaphor for the Internet. Cloud Computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand. Open source means free.
I'm actually researching some solutions as well. I've narrowed it down to the following:
⋇ springsource.com
⋇ ubuntu.com/cloud
⋇ open.eucalyptus.com
⋇ eyeos.org
