Here's some:
1) What is my target audience?
2) What does my target audience "Like" as far as my product/services are concerned? How can I create a site that puts those things up-front for my visitors/clients?
3) Do I need this site to be mobile ready? (most likely)
4) How am I going to handle Social Media Integration with my site?
5) What are my "Calls to Action?"
I would focus more on your customer's wants/needs and the marketing aspects of your site first, and then worry about the graphics and technologies that you want to incorporate in your site. The technology and the design is the easy part - the hard part is creating the marketing strategy that will bring the visitors to your site to begin with, and then converting those visitors to clients after that.
