Hi Scott,

Hope that gives you more ideas
Hello Scott,
As a home business professional I struggled to do the same! Although I understand that leveraging other professionals to help me is more efficient, I couldn't seem to find everything in one package.
So when I came across AdzZoo, it was a real blessing! I was so impressed that I started talking with my other networking contacts and finally decided that I liked them so much - I joined them in helping out other small biz owners!
I would be happy to provide a free consult and free proposal so you can compare them to what you are currently using. I haven't seen anyone surpass them yet as we are Google Qualified and guarantee our services.
You can visit my site at http://www.adzzoo.net/lindaking
If you would like to just connet and network, I would be happy to do that as well - You can find me on Meetup as the Organizer for Charlotte Success Network!
To your success - Linda
Hmmm. There is so much to share it's hard to know where to start. That being said, I would say take the time to do good keyword research. That is the most important part. If you conduct poor research then you wont have much chance of accomplishing your goals.
As John said, this question covers a lot of ground.
Keyword research is paramount.
Getting a URL with you primary keywords in it is recommended.
Start with local targets, include your physical area serviced if you are a local business and your physical address if you are global.
I think the most important facets are to understand how to setup your keyword phrase hierarchy for both the human and search engines visitors.
Present your keyword phrases from short tail to long tail in that order, building on descriptive terms for your primary keyword phrase.
Present your keywords as soon as possible in the visible page and in the code.
Keywords in URL, Title, Description and Meta tags as well as in the header and navigation links.
Do not keyword stuff, write normally do not use keywords when it is not necessary.
If you would like to go into more detail, contact me with your website's address and I will give you my opinion as an expert SEO practitioner.

Hi Scott,
I think one of the most important basic rules to remember is that SEO is a continuous process – you have to keep working at it. If you ‘SEO’ a site and then leave it, your search engine ranks will tend to drop over the following weeks or months (depending on the level of keyword competition). So regularly add good quality content, build links etc
Good luck!
Peter
Hi Scott,
Adding good quality content can be done via blog on site http://www.yoursite.com/news or http://www.yoursite.com/blog
Good luck!

The primary factors in doing top ranking SEO work is to present the same semantic hierarchy to both the visual display and in the code.
Google says to "Design for people".
The largest text on the page should be the primary keyword phrase and be right at the start of the page.
This should be enclosed in a h1 tag pair in the code. (Only one h1 tag pair on a page.)
The next largest text on the page should be in h2 in the code and should elaborate on or describe attributes of the primary keyword phrase.
Ideally the h2 headings will include links to internal pages (Calls to action) that elaborate on the subjects.
Since Google pays a lot of attention to local search, the areas covered by the business should be shown at the top of the page.
If the service or products are available on a global basis, the physical address should still be shown.
Best of luck all.

Scott - Let me make a few non-traditional SEO suggestions.
Creating SEO content is important, but some things that are EQUALLY important and often overlooked are ideas like these...
1. You need to create content that grabs attention and is valuable to others.
Why? If people find it valuable, then they'll link to it and send you traffic. Google will also "like" the external links pointing to your content and increase your ranking - if you get enough of from the right type of sites.
REMEMBER: If people DON'T read your content, you won't convert prospects and it won't "spread".
To write content that grabs attention check the blog series I'm currently doing. Here's one post I wrote that you should check...
"Arabian Nights And The Most Powerful Form Of Content Marketing On The Planet" http://wp.me/pfeEX-bt
2. Another non-traditional suggestion is to focus on becoming "known" on the current popular blogs that your prospects read.
Leave helpful comments (like I am doing here) with links (in your sig file or when appropriate). These links will lead people to your content and again help your rankings.
3. The final non-traditional SEO suggestion is to make sure that your content isn't just contained within the "walls" of your site.
Spread your content onto other sites where it can be discovered and lead back to you. Again these links lead people to your site and help with rankings.
Check this blog post for more on this final suggestion...
"How People Limit The Value, Usefulness & Portability Of Their Content Marketing" http://wp.me/pfeEX-by
Please keep the following points in your mind .
1. Title Link and Text
The link of your title should not be a number like – ( http://xyz.com/123.html ) or random letters of the alphabet. This is a poor SEO technique and will affect you rankings horribly. A good permalink structure does have an impact on SEO.
Instead, include the keywords of your post title in the title link. When we compare two URL’s http://xyz.com/123.html and http://xyz.com/powerful-tips-for-beginners.html, which makes more sense? Surely, the second URL makes more sense and it’s good from a SEO and user prospective.
So you should always try putting in some keywords related to the content on that page in your URL? Once you have chosen keywords to include in the URL, write out the title of your post. You will have some keywords to work, so it will make it a little easier on you.
When talking about one of the most important factors of good SEO, we talk about the title of the page. By looking at the title of your page in search engine results, people should be able to make decision about the kind of content they have in store on that page for them. So again include your main keywords in your title, but don’t make it spammy by including too many keywords or by making it read as gibberish.
2. Keywords
If you want your post to appear on search engines for certain keywords then make sure that these keywords appear often in your post. You should skillfully incorporate the keyword into your post five to six times – without making it look artificial for your readers.
But be careful, don’t use the keywords too much or the search engine spider may suspect spam. And if you are creating friendly content, have your keywords in your content where they fit in naturally. And please keep your keyword density lower than 2 percent!
3. Quality Links
It is important that your blog is linked from various high quality websites, as this will increase your number of backlinks (link to a previous post) which has great SEO benefits
At the same time, if your site is linked to undesirable sites such as link farms, bad neighborhoods, etc. then it will have a negative effect on your search engine rankings.
So link to authority and trusted websites only so that your website outgoing profile becomes stronger. And at the same time, get links from quality websites and blogs only. You can grab some quality links for your website by submitting your content on ezine publishing websites, guest posts, genuine blog commenting on the blogs in your niche and getting links from other bloggers.
Hello Scot,
Below is some basic SEO tips by which you create SEO friendly website.
1) Every page should contain the title and description tags with good keywords to describe the page content. Page Title: use a different descriptive page title for each page. Make sure your primary keyword phrases for the given page are at the beginning of the page title.
2) Add your website in google & bing webmaster tool
3) Create the XML sitemap, & submit in google & bing webmaster tool
4) Add Auto Discovery sitemap
5) Solve the canonical issue of your website.
6) Create SEO friendly pages
8) File & Image Naming (URL structure): name the files & image related to the keywords of website. Separate the words using a – (dash) not a space or a _ (underscore). This is not an issue worth changing your current pages or image over for, but is a quick way to add a small boost in relevancy in some engines.
9) Avoid using frames. Some search engines cannot spider web pages with frames at all. For the other search engines that can, they can have problems spidering it and sometimes they too cannot index the web page.
10)Use external Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Java Script files to reduce page size and make the download time much faster. It will allow the spider to index your web page faster and can help your ranking.
11)Creating navigation bar based on important keywords also helps in boosting SEO.
12)Optimize “404” pages. Use a custom site template and use this space to add call-to-actions. If the visitor reaches this error page, then they will have a way out to keep navigating through your site.
