it is two-fold: Certainly, the CMO needs to provide direction regarding the messaging, the audience, the rules of engagement and the channels - all in one consistent strategic approach. But the CMO also needs to walk the talk! How can directions be understood and supported, if the CMO does not set an example of how to effectively and appropriately engage on the social media stage?
