When there is memorable appeal created from adverts, separate from the product itself. All the good mascots I can recall off the top of my head (and let's face it, that's what you want) Have been memorable for a 'cool' or 'cute' factor, though could have been most any arbitrary 'character':
- The Noid for Domino's
- Trump for Monster.com
- The Aflac duck
