I don't know if a laptop would fit you best. Check out netbooks if you travel a lot. They're small and concise and perfect for airplanes. You can also take the trendy route and check out the new iPad. I ran a simply search in the "search focus" tab at the top and this article came up.

I think a netbook will be your best bet, but be sure to do extensive research.
