What is a typical customer service salary?
I am apply for customer service jobs, mainly phone support at software companies, and a lot of the applications ask me what I expect to get paid. I honestly have no idea what to put. What is a typical customer service salary? What should I put down? What should I be expecting to get paid?

First question, where are you located, and where is the job located? That will be a factor in being able to give you any guidance in answering a salary question. For example, a Client Service/Customer Service position at the Financial Software firm I work at, the starting salary for the Support Team is $55,000 per year; however this is in New York City.
