PMI requires PMP to have some 2500 hours of PM experience and more with no degree, which creates a problem....real world vs. text book. I took one of those bootcamps so I could prep myself based on how PMI would ask the questions.
In reviewing my experience on the exam with about a dozen other PMs...We all noticed that there were not many questions around EVM, maybe 5. On the other hand, there was a surprising number of questions on ethics in PM. Not sure if you can really test that in an exam. Most people know the right answer, but when it comes to action...well.

Along with the PM experience and training required by PMI to qualify for the exam, I found the best study source to be a book called PMP Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy.
The sections of her book have practice test questions at the end of each chapter and several full practice tests at the end of the book. I found these practice exams had questions that most closely resembled the questions on the actual test.
