I've only been with Eloqua for about 14 months, but here's my relative "newbie" analysis: Culture may vary among offices, but holistically, the company is very competitive -- not with one another per se, but it's a competitive industry and there's a real drive to "win," not just for the money or the successful exit, but for the pure joy of winning. There is a massive focus on clients. If clients love you, Eloqua loves you. The fastest way to get "known" is to be applauded by clients, so as a result, the company is very service-minded. The company isn't "flat" like some start-ups might be, but at the same time, it's not very political either. It's interesting to have a hierarchy but without the political baggage that often accompanies a more "official" organizational structure. There's a blend of ages, as well. It's not a bunch of kids out of college trying to run a company, but nor is it a collection of suits either. I'd say it skews young, but the management team is very experienced. The most important thing to be aware of is that the centerpiece of the culture is this motto: "get it done and do it right." That is, success absent ethics or positive energy or collaboration is not truly success. We are all measured along both axes (getting it done / doing it right). And that mantra has begun to take root from peer to peer. Hope this helps, Lauren. Happy to answer any more questions. Oh and we clock hours. It's not a place to go to coast! (Not that you would ;)).
