1. Ask yourself this question
What do you think you will get out of it and how will you and your organisation and stakeholders measure its success?
Answer this and you should proceed - if either answers are vague then down tools and straighten this out first.
2. Next - go online and trial a solution for 30 days across key users, import some data, get it working in Microsoft Outlook and take a view. Cost = Time only
First piece of advice would be think again :)
My top 3 questions:
1. Do you all agree that CRM is not a software?
2. Have you quite solid understanding on C level that CRM is a strategy?
3. Have you a raw agreement who could be a CRM project manager?
Spending some time on these 3 questions may remove 80% of further missunderstandings. Good luck!
