What's your take on Cisco's CIUS tablet?

I've been looking into lightweight portables for my outside sales team and I've been considering transitioning them all to tablet computing devices. What's your take on Cisco's CIUS tablet? What enterprise features does it have? How does it compare to Apple's iPad? Should I wait for some other tablets to come out?

Well, it's not available so I can really only comment on an incomplete spec sheet. The screen seems a little small at 7-inches, but the Android operating system is certainly a good choice. It will apparently support a Cisco softphone client tying it into the IP PBX/UC product line.

The bigger question is: do we need a "Cisco tablet". There are lots of folks who could do this just as well (or better), and all Cisco really needs to provide is an Android-based client. In any event, 1) tablets are the next major computing platform, 2) Android is one of two powerhouse operating systems (iOS obviously is the other), and 3) the market will decide whether it makes sense to by the Cisco version versus one of many others we can expect to see introduced.
