I'm a night owl - I'm ultra productive between 11pm - 2am.
This means I live a reclusive, mysterious lifestyle ;)
Early morning for me! 2:00 am - 5:00 am is my most productive time. Well, I guess it's technically the middle of the night for some, but it works for me!
Alyssa, So do you get up at 2am or go to bed at 5am?
Jay
It depends. I am normally a morning person (up at 4:30). Email, meetings, proposals, and writing are best done then. But the evening is the best time for researching or doing tasks that need uninterrupted focus. We are raising our Granddaughter, so that only happens on rare occasions or after she goes to bed. I seem to get a second wide about 10pm.
In the morning I work at my desk; in the afternoons and evenings I am using a laptop in a reading chair.

I do all my writing and creative work from about 7:00am onwards and leave admin until the afternoon
I am productive most of the day except around 2-3pm and 7-8pm.
I am most productive early in the morning (7AM-10AM) and late at night (10PM-12AM)
I find that productivity depends on the task. I do my best writing after 3 pm but morning works best more tedious work - e-mail, filing, posting accounting records. Late morning to mid-afternoon is the best time for projects or actions requiring mechanical or physical activity. I find that understanding the most productive time for each type of task lets me plan my day in a way that varies the tasks but sustains the level of productivity throughout the day.
Jay - I'm up at 2...crazy, right? :)
Jay, I'm productive all day long, just at different things at different times of the day. For instance, before the bell rings is the best time for creativity and organizing. Even a late afternoon powernap is productive; we need to refill our tanks.
Alyssa - wow really?! Don't think i have ever heard anyone up so early, even breakfast TV hosts are only up at 3-4! What time are you usually in bed?
Gary - I'll have to give power-napping a try!
