Where can I find free information about human resources training?
My business is hiring new HR staff, and needs to train them effectively. Where can I find white papers, webinars, peer advice and other resources to help me out on this?

CIPD are good but you have to pay, but then I figure that's true of decent material of any sort.
But www.hrzone.co.uk are pretty good, as is www.personneltoday.com
www.SHRM.org

Glad to see your company's desire to train your HR staff. With all the changes in employment law, it's critical to the success of the employees & the company. I've found free information on websites and in newsletters from law firms specializing in employment law (such as McGuireWoods.com) and companies that offer HR services & support to small businesses. But effective training usually is not free. Some firms may offer free seminars & webinars on certain topics and those will be posted on their website. Forums such as this one is good for peer advice.
A great investment though is a membership with www.SHRM.org. Membership with SHRM provides training webinars, white papers, forms and access to people you can call when you need HR advice. Their newsletter is very informative but some information is for members only. The money is well worth it.
Good luck!
