Not to worry and please do not get confused. Here are simple steps to get started on Cloud Model :

1. Know your organization and its requirements
- Clearly define your cloud users, admin and roles upfront
- No plans stay on same – make sure you are flexible and realistic

2. Plan your services and ensure you have support (both internally and externally)
- Ensure you “remove” redundant services effectively (unless for continuity)

3. Evaluate your internal process before and after
- Do current processes make sense? Can these be improved on? If so, how?
- Why are we moving? Know the benefits and business case before moving

4. Ensure your cloud is future proof
- Ensure you have a detailed and realistic plan which is scalable
- If your organization is fast paced, ensure your provider is too
- Evaluate your Cloud Vendor very closely for your exact requirements and also understand the vendor lock-in and switching cost
