Where do you find candidates for operations management jobs?
We recently had to let go two of our mid-level operations managers and are looking to fill those positions. Aside from large job boards like Craigslist, Indeed, and Monster, where do you go to recruit for operations management jobs? Operations management professionals are pretty niche, so I was curious to know if there is an industry job board to post on. Would LinkedIn be a good place to look for candidates?

Todd,
Top candidates are happily employed. Even in today's economy, the best employees are currently employed and are typically very happy were they are. No amount of advertising will attract them. It takes a cold call from a experienced recruiter to jerk them out of their comfort zone.
LinkedIn would be a great place to start. I'm not on the recruiting end of it, but I'd be willing to bet that there are a great many candidates available through LinkedIn. Another place to look is through APICS, both nationally through their website, through the APICS LinkedIn group and through your local chapter.
