Hi Amit,

To help answer this a little better could you provide a bit more background to your question? For example, are you asking the question from the point of view of looking to build your own hosted CRM solution and sell it, act as a reseller for an existing hosted CRM system, or are you looking to purchase a system yourself, or something else?

Either way, to answer your question in two parts,

- Part 1 If you are to sell CRM on hosted model what all things would you take care of?

What you need to take care of when selling CRM on a hosted model depends on your clients’ requirements, and other factors such as their in-house resources and expertise, time, objectives and budget.
The exact nature of CRM projects varies not only between sectors, but between organizations and even between departments within organizations. Typically for providing a hosted CRM solution (my company offers hosted CRM solutions as well as on-premise), we would first undertake a requirements consultation. Sometimes we’ll set you up on a free trial so you can get a good idea of the product, what it can do and what you can achieve. When we've understood your business requirements, we'll take care of configuring the system around your objectives, importing your data, getting your staff access to the software, training your staff, and providing maintenance and support. This usually involves following a CRM project methodology (this reduces risks and increases the efficiency of the implementation process), and for larger projects we may also help with change management, data cleansing, project management, and so on. We’ll also take care of hosting the application of course, data security and encryption.

- Part 2 Assuming price at: $10/user, tell me category: Industry/Business Size and what ever you think is important.

$10 per user is extremely cheap for a CRM solution and I would suspect the applications and services you receive or can offer at this price may be a little limited at this level. But without getting into a debate about different CRM products, features and pricing, the very nature of CRM, and CRM software itself is that it is very ‘horizontal’ – it applies to a wide range of industry types, sizes and sectors, and the majority of good CRM solutions can be readily adapted to suit the needs of the category. For many industries there are CRM solutions developed specifically for that sector, or ‘verticalised’ versions of the CRM product specially adapted and preconfigured for particular sectors.

Hope this helps,

Peter

Hello Amit, your question is quit broad however hosted CRM solutions have very competitive pricing models since the advent of cloud computing. We work under a unique pricing model that bills according the amount of data recorded rather then the amount of users licensed. I’d like to invite you to check out our web page at www.intelestream.net
