Invoicing software or accounting software is often a mandatory add-on to the software list of companies, on top of the other software they need, I.E. project management/CRM tools.
The reason why WORKetc is great, is it combines invoicing software and finance features with project management and CRM in one system. Since many companies end up with these apps regardless, having a system that integrates all of them into one is much more beneficial when it comes to efficiency and overall cost. The workflows of an all-in-one integrated application are incomparable with using separate apps when you take into account jumping between systems, syncing apps, double entry, etc.
I love cheap and cheerful. I have a small business that doesn't require higher level tracking but for our invoicing I've used a company called OneClick that have developed simple excel templates that keep me organized. I love it, they look professional and help me stay on track with customers and receivables. I left the URL at the bottom for others to check out.
