Which spyware/adware remover gives you the most for your money?
I would like to find an effective spyware/adware remover, but am overwhelmed with the choices available. I've got a limited budget and would like to know which tool will provide me with the most thorough results at the lowest cost?

We've generally had good success with Spybot Search and Destroy. Last I knew it is supported by donations, so the cost is up to you. I have used it in conjunction with the corporate products from Symantec, and they seem to add up to a pretty good solution.
That said, the users we support are pretty low key with their online habits, so I haven't run into much fallout due to P2P usage or similar 'edgy' practices...
I recommend using a combination of different software. It has been my experience that one always misses something. Luckily, most spyware removers have a free version that work very well.
