Whether you consider Business Analytics a subset of Business Intelligence (as I do) or, instead, as something "beyond BI," the top vendor is SAS followed by IBM SPSS and a host of smaller, more specialized vendors. You can do a fair amount of business analytics with software from Business Objects (the overall BI market-share leader), Oracle, Microsoft, Microstrategy, and Information Builders, in some instances via integrated external tools such as the R statistical programming environment.

Tools whose capabilities are restricted to reporting and pivot-table (OLAP) analyses such as Tableau and QlikView are not generally classed as Business Analytics tools.

If your focus is on data analysis, then I would recommend Tableau. It is very intuitive and can bring many insights. If you are looking for speed, try QlikView.
