Historical personalities make for good pickings. I would have picked all of these except Bob Geldof and Napoleon. I think Napoleon was too head strong and plain old crazy, while I admire and would add Bob Geldof to my own list. The inclusion of Mr Geldof opens my mind to more varied and interesting selections from different verticals (e.g.; Sports and Entertainment, fiction). How about James Arness as Marshal Matt Dillon? How about John Wayne as Sgt. John M. Stryker? From the sports world; how about Derek Jeter or Thurman Munson?

This exercise is fun, but unrealistic. It is better to seek the personal qualities in team members that you know you need. My network of professional friendships would serve me best here. But since it is a “dream team” having fun with selections is good. Thank you Charlie.

I know of a few contacts who aren't famous, I'd pick them, because they have these qualities:
1- Experience
2- They listen
3- Out-of-the-box thinkers & visionaries
4- They lead and create trends, instead of monitoring and following trends
5- Innovators
6- Well-connected
7- They respect their peers and employees
8- Realistic with high expectations
9- Want their companies to be great, not just good
10- Their main ambition is not money making, it is to make the lives of people better
