100% of our hosting is outsourced; at present approximately 99% is co-located using equipment we own with 1% rented. Towards the end of Q3, we will be switching those percentages around with 90 to 95% being rented and the rest co-located.
Security and server management of the equipment is handled in-house.
We have approximately 15% of our hosting environment virtualized with Citrix SenServer; and we will be increasing that number towards 95% in Q3 and Q4 of this year.
I use Media Layer. $20/month to host a Joomla site. This is about the 15th hosting provider I have gone with. It has been almost a year and no outages that I know of. Very satisfied.
