Most BI systems right now focus mainly on obtaining information from ERP systems, leaving out important marketing and sales metrics. Will business intelligence solutions ever combine with marketing to give companies "marketing intelligence"?

Are you asking about customer related BI? As a grocer we are in the middle of a campaign management tool investment - which will lead us to deeper analysis of buying behavior. We have had limited customer based measures and analysis for sometime now.

We are also going to do more item analysis surrounding Ad placement and shelf space as well.
