Will the WHO's findings regarding cell phones and cancer, impact sales or usage worldwide?
The World Health Organization announced today that they have changed their classification of cell phones as "safe" for human usage to "possibly carcinogenic" placing cellular devices in the same category as DDT (an illegal pesticide in the US) and gasoline engine exhaust.
Will this new classification adversely impact the cell phone industry?

In the short run, I suspect that it will negatively impact the cell phone industry particularly usage by children that experts are claiming will have the greatest impact. This is a very serious issue. Cell phone industry have to come up with innovative ideas to use cell phones.
I do not think that it will have much impact since the industry has us so ingrained on the use of cell phones.
The impact may be the same as the worries about CRT's putting out X-rays and causing blindness if you sat too close. This didn't stop millions of people from having a TV or buying the one with more powerful High Voltage supplies for driving the brighter colors.
The only impact that I can see possible is the use of Bluetooth headsets. The plug in ear piece with the microphone in the cord may make a large come back from this news.
I doubt it very much - everyone knows smoking kills but people do it anyway.
I agree with Joseph - BlueTooth may take a hit but even then that will recover eventually.
