Willing to share mobile marketing statistics?
Does anyone have any statistics on how mobile marketing has worked for their company? We're a small company and are considering using SMS as well as the iAds platform (or something like it) to better reach our target audience. Does anyone have any statistics on how either of these mobile marketing strategies have worked for your company? Would you recommend one over the other?

I think the type of company and product is the #1 factor in deciding to go mobile. If you're selling dentures then probably not :) Do you have demographic data on your clients? That would be the first piece of info necessary to compare with current iAd or SMS company data. Some products/services may not work well via mobile or in certain markets.
We are in a weird place in history as we have too many choices. You need to consider what amount you are willing to set aside for marketing experimentation. Maybe set a fixed budget for mobile and after the campaign compare conversions from it with traditional marketing conversions. I can tell you we have some great success with some campaigns and little with others.
