Working Time Directive - review of 48 hour opt out

In March 2010 The EU commission took the first step towards a comprehensive review of the working time directive WTD. The commission will carry out an impact assessment. In this review three key areas come under scrutiny: 1 The Directive's application to on-call time in certain sectors of work 2 the provision of flexibility in calculating weekly working time 3 a review of the individual opt-out from the 48 hour limit I am looking for opinion and feedback on how concerned (or not) you are about the potential to remove or review the opt-out option in particular.
