Would an occasional office nap be good for your productivity?
HubSpot certainly seems to think so. According to their blog, CEO Brian Halligan has a tendency to nap at the office, and even encourages to do the same. Halligan posted a research article from the Harvard Business Review on HubSpot's internal wiki that discusses the benefits of short (30 min) mid-day naps. Benefits include improving perceptual skills, motor skills, reaction time, and alertness. The report also gave data showing that nappers out performed "non-nappers."
Do you think office naps would be good for your productivity? Would they be good for your company's culture?

Let's be honest: Have you ever found yourself nodding off during a meeting, or felt your eyelids getting heavy while sitting at your computer? Obviously, when you feel that drowsy you are not at your peak performance -- so a nap makes a lot of sense. A quick siesta or power nap can refresh your body and sharpen your mind so you'll be more productive for the rest of the day.
There are all kinds of people out there. Some need to get their 8 hours of sleep to feel sharp and productive while others seem to do fine with 4 or 5 hours. Some people can't do the power-nap, it's like a stake in the heart; they just can't recover from it. Generally, I feel that naps can really boost productivity, when managed properly, especially when workload and deadlines intensify.
I know a few people who could really use one.
I am usually so jacked up at work that even if I was ordered to nap, I would be unable to. At the same time, I wouldn't object at all if my colleagues decided to nap for 30 minutes each day.
