Highlights

In December, social bookmarking site Pinterest broke into the top 10 websites within Experian Hitwise’s Social Networking and Forums category in the U.S. (receiving nearly 11 million total visits the week ending December 17, 2011, outranking Google+, and showing a fourfold increase in unique visitors from September 2011 to December 2011). Although it launched in March 2010, B2B marketers are just becoming clued in to the opportunities it presents beyond a place for consumers to put together virtual pinboards of visual bookmarks for home improvement projects, favorite recipes, and crafting ideas.
