Highlights

Cloud was built on horizontal scale and analytics use cases.  We've seen a proliferation of large memory configurations.  Is this an effect of general adoption?  We've also seen a lot of early day clouds spun up and managed using management tools and "devops" utilities like Chef and Puppet.  Have we reached the masses in the way we manage and deploy clouds?  What should we do that will simplify cloud use (VM as a services / IaaS?)   What's missing?  It seems that a big inhibitor to cloud usage is visibility, transparency, and reporting.  Are there good solid tools that incorporate provisioning automation as well as monitoring/compliance/etc for the cloud today?
