Do you REALLY consider Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and this kind of protective laws as censorship?

Thank you Robert for your long answer - I agree on most of your points.
But we should consider the principle that is introduced by those laws: "Only service providers can help governement to get the gun from badguy's hand".

I think a lot of companies stand to incur expense and opportunity cost under SOPA/PIPA. A few that immediately spring to mind:
Web ad delivery firms and search companies -- would incur significant costs to scrub "suspect" links from their services;

Wikipedia blacking out its entire services in English is the most effective black-out. I say this because I depend on Wikipedia almost everyday ot clarify/get a more deeper or generalized view of different things that I come across during my working day. more
